Role: Database Administrator

Job Details – Zebra Off Campus Hiring 2024

• Call on Zebra for collaborative installation, configuration, deployment, accounting, and support of Progress database-based applications and other SQL Server databases used by Zebra overall.
• L2/L3 support Progress and SQL Server databases, manage daily backup and recovery work and keep the database and application systems running smoothly 24 hours a day. They also optimize applications and databases for maximum performance.
• Assist in conducting complex needs assessments and developing system recommendations to improve reliability and performance
• Work closely with the functional team to understand business requirements and develop our solutions for various projects.
• Maintain DBA Manager-level security and integrity controls with input from senior database administrators senior
• Provide detailed plans and metrics for large complex projects under the direction of the DBA Manager and senior database administrators
• Find innovative solutions, and automate routine work to improve database operations
• Work closely with both internal and external clients for problem-solving to resolve system issues and Gain increasing responsibility from senior database administrators.

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is required; a graduate degree in Computer Science is preferred.

• A candidate must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program relevant to the project. Undergraduates should be in or near their final year of studies when applying.

• Experience in working on projects both independently and as part of a team.
