Infosys hiring 2026: 20,000 freshers, exam dates and what comes next
What Infosys said on record, with dates. The exam and test dates students received in October 2026. And what comes next for the 2024 to 2027 batches.

Short answer
Infosys plans at least 20,000 freshers in the year to March 2027 and had hired 4,000 by June. Running now: the System Engineer exam through colleges (3 to 5 and 11 to 13 October) and SP and DSE in-person coding tests on 25 October, 1 November, 12 November or 6 December. The next official numbers come on 23 October 2026.

Infosys hiring 2026 is in full swing, and the numbers behind it are public. The company has said three times since April that it will hire at least 20,000 freshers this year. Below: what Infosys said on record, the exam dates students received in October, and what comes next for each batch.

Student data"Reconnect" mails since about 8 October ask you to pick a date and a city for an in-person coding test. Some are re-recruitment mails for people who did not clear round one in May.

Student dataOne SP interview on 6 October: resume questions, two coding problems on the Infosys Wingspan platform, then about 20 technical questions. Others were shortlisted but had no venue mail yet.
The 2027 batch has no off-campus SP and DSE mail yet. Twenty-five people asked this week; nobody had one, and Infosys has published nothing on it.
The SE exam, as students who sat it describe it#
- Quant and reasoning: easy, in the most-liked review of the 5 October paper. One student also named data interpretation.
- Pseudo code: easy, with no bitwise or shift operators.
- English: one paragraph with 10 fill-in-the-blank questions, plus an easy verbal section.
- Puzzles: 4 questions, two of 2 marks and two of 3 marks. An essay question was also part of the paper.
- Cutoff: not published. Treat every cutoff number you hear as a guess.
Five people had a blank name on the admit card or no login mail. Carry the exam mail and an ID, and tell your placement cell the same day. The free mock tests cover quant, reasoning and pseudo code.
SP and DSE in-person test dates students received#

The mail reached 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027 batch students. It asks for one date and one city; the test is at a centre.
One student read a cooldown clause in the mail: fail once, wait for the next drive. We have not seen the mail.
Reports on the test differ. One candidate in May 2026 had three problems in three hours, online and proctored: arrays, dynamic programming, a graph. Six people this month called the in-person test "very very tough". Pay from a 2025 listing, not from Infosys: SP about 9.5 lakh, DSE about 6.25 lakh a year.
What comes next: our estimate#
SE results for the 5 October sitters arrive within two to three weeks.

What to do this week#
- SE paper: practise pseudo code, puzzles, one-paragraph grammar and a 20-minute essay. The questions are easy, so speed decides.
- SP and DSE: arrays and strings first, then dynamic programming and graphs. Practise three problems in three hours.
- Screenshot every mail and status page with the date. Booked a slot with no confirmation mail? Keep the screenshot and do not rebook twice.
- Keep other drives alive. Get job alerts by degree and watch the daily off-campus list.

Is Infosys hiring freshers in 2026?
Yes. Infosys hiring 2026 means at least 20,000 freshers this financial year, said in April, with 4,000 already hired by June. The CEO repeated the plan on 13 October 2026.
What are the Infosys SP and DSE exam dates in 2026?
Students received mails this week offering 25 October, 1 November, 12 November or 6 December 2026 for an in-person coding test. You pick one date and one city. Infosys has not published a calendar.
Is the Infosys SP and DSE test online or at a centre?
The October mails describe an in-person test at a centre. A candidate in May 2026 sat it online with proctoring. Follow your own mail.
What is the Infosys System Engineer exam pattern for the 2027 batch?
Students who sat it on 5 October reported quant and reasoning, pseudo code, an English paragraph with 10 blanks, four puzzles and an essay. All of it was called easy. Infosys has not published the pattern or a cutoff.
When will the Infosys off-campus drive for the 2027 batch start?
None had been reported by 16 October 2026. The 2027 batch is being hired for the System Engineer role through colleges right now. We will post the mail on Classic Jobs the day it appears.
When do Infosys results come after the exam?
Students interviewed on 5 and 6 October were still waiting on 13 October. Earlier write-ups say two to three weeks. There is no official timeline.
